Catherine Gray is a Creative Director specializing in social media. For the past 6 years, she worked at MRY in New York, where she led brands such as Coca-Cola, Spotify, Sally Hansen, Rimmel London and Listerine.
Born in London, Catherine studied print Graphic Design & Advertising at Buckinghamshire College, and took an interest in online soon after graduating. She was head-hunted to work as one of the first ten employees at the legendary Boo.com, during its meteoric ‘boom and bust’ in the dot com bubble. Boo.com was too far ahead of its time, anticipating advances in the online user experience before Internet speeds and mobile devices caught up. This vision gave Catherine the opportunity to pioneer interactive product stories, 360 degree views, and live chat for brands such as DKNY, Paul Smith, and Timberland, during the fledgling Internet.
Catherine’s experience in the dot com world led her to trail-blazing agencies such as Razorfish, Poke London, and Glue. Looking to round out her exposure to the mavens of advertising, Catherine joined powerhouse agency Publicis, then MRY. Catherine has now returned to London and is ready to start her up her own consultancy with her own flavor. The shop will be named BOBBY NYLO.
